Society has kept victims of traumatic incidents “hushed” for decades. As a mother of two sons who were restrained and placed in isolation by our local school district, I can not stress enough how the “incident” is being swept under the rug or kept silent. Both of my sons are are expected to get over it and forget about
the fact they were traumatized. While going through intense therapy with them I chose not to be censored, but to speak up for all survivors, most especially those who suffered from trauma.
I decided to create our site to speak of what has happened and try and change the way the world looks at autism and the families that live with it.
This is our Story…
